BANANA SPLIT CAKE
         
        1st Layer
        2 cups graham wafers, crushed
        1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
        MIX crushed wafers and butter together and press into a 9 x 13" pan. Bake on middle shelf of oven at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool.
         
        2nd Layer
        3/4 cup butter or margarine, well beaten
        3 cups sugar
        1 egg
        2 tsp. Vanilla
        BEAT well until firm. Put in refrigerator for 15 minutes to chill. Place on top of wafer mixture.
         
        3rd Layer
        3 large bananas, sliced
        19 oz. Can crushed pineapple (drained) reserving juice
        DIP bananas in juice from pineapple. Layer bananas over butter mixture.
         
        4th Layer
        Spread the well-drained crushed pineapple over the bananas
         

        5th Layer
        Mix 2 envelopes of Dream Whip according to package directions. Spread over pineapple
         
        6th Layer
        Arrange 2 Tbsp. pecan pieces on top of whipped topping. Slice 12 whole maraschino cherries in half and arrange around pecans.
         
        This is absolutely out of this world!
