DILLED GREEN BEANS

          INGREDIENTS
           
          2 lbs. small fresh green beans
          1 cup white wine vinegar
          1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
          3 Tbsps. sugar
          2 cloves garlic, crushed
          1/2 tsp. salt
          1/2 tsp. pepper

          DIRECTIONS

          Place beans in boiling waterm cover, reduce heat, and simmer 8 minutes or until crisp-tender.

          Drain beans; plunge into ice wtaer to stop the cooking process, and drain beans again. Place beans in a shallow dish.

          Combine vinegar and next 5 ingredients, stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour over beans, stirring to coat. Cover and chill for 8 hours, stirring occasionally.

          Serve with slotted spoon.
