Sandy's Barbecued Baked Beans

Ingredients

2 (16 ounce) cans Bush's baked beans (drained)
3/4 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce (I use Hunt's Hickory and Brown Sugar)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 oz. apple sauce
1/2 tsp. Hickory Smoke
1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 tsp. finely diced garlic clove
 
Directions

Combine ALL ingredients in mixing bowl and mix well.
 
Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole dish and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until casserole is bubbly and of desired consistency, stirring once or twice.
 

Serves 6-8
